Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SafeNails collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit our website or make a purchase, in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Data we collect

  • Order details: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone number and order details.
  • Payment details: processed securely by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (only with your consent where required).
  • Messages: anything you send us by email.

How and why we use it

  • To process, deliver and support your orders, including returns and refunds (performance of a contract).
  • To answer your questions and send order and delivery updates (performance of a contract).
  • To prevent fraud and keep our site secure (legitimate interests).
  • To understand how our site is used and to measure and improve our advertising, for example on Meta platforms (consent, where required).
  • To send marketing emails, only if you have opted in. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run our shop, such as our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, delivery couriers and analytics and advertising partners, and only as needed to provide their services, or where required by law. Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.

Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep your basket working and, with your consent, analytics and advertising cookies. You can change your choices at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To make a request, email us. If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law (for example, order records for tax purposes).

Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
